Hand Dyed
Each piece is hand dyed using West African Adire, Thioup, and Batik techniques. Our garments are washed in cold water and hung to dry to reduce our energy consumption and be conscious of our footprint.
Why Made to Order and how does it work?
Made to order guarantees each customer gets the size and colorway they desire. Each piece is dyed to order and can take up to 6 weeks. Each piece has unique markings and may vary slightly in color.
How do I care for my piece?
To care for your piece, hand wash in cool water with PH balanced detergent.Hang in shade to dry, and avoid leaving out in direct sunlight.

Dr. Lindsay Gary, House of Osumare's founder and CEO, studied African textiles and the ancient West African practices of tie and dye (thioup/adire) and batik in Senegal.
